Roofing Companies in Conway, AR: How to Compare Them

Roofers laying new synthetic underlayment and shingles on a home in Conway

If you are looking for roofing companies in Conway, AR, several have offices in town: Collins and Son Roofing on Prince Street, Diamond State Restoration on Old Morrilton Highway, First Star Exteriors on East Oak Street, HD Roofing and Construction on Hart Lane, Oliver's Custom Roofing on Newcastle Drive, and an Arkansas River Valley Roofing and Restoration office on Locust Street, plus roofers who come up I-40 from Maumelle and Little Rock. The fair way to compare them is on facts you can check yourself: each company's Google rating and review count, its Arkansas registration on the state lookup, what it says it does on its own website, and the written answers it gives to the hiring questions further down this page.

A plain disclosure first: this post is written by Patriot Roofing and Restoration, a roofing company based in Maumelle, about 15 miles down I-40 from Conway, and we are one of the companies in the table. We have not ranked anyone, including ourselves. The table is in alphabetical order, it uses only published facts with the date we read them, and it says nothing about any company that the company or its Google profile does not say itself. Use it as a starting list, then check each roofer on your own.

Roofing companies serving Conway, compared on published facts

Services and years in business come from each company's own website, read on Nov 4, 2026. Review counts change every week, so look at the live profile before you call.

Years in business are shown only where the company publishes them on the pages we read. A missing year says nothing about how long a company has been working; ask them. Where a company's website lists more services than the one page we could read, the table may undersell it, so check its site.

Two things are deliberately missing. We have not listed Arkansas registration numbers for other companies, because you should look those up yourself on the state's own site rather than take a competitor's word for them (how to do that is in the checklist below). And Conway has more roofers with good Google ratings than fit in one table, including companies in Greenbrier and Mayflower that work in town; we listed only Conway-office companies whose services we could read on their own websites before this was published. A company missing from this table is not a judgment about it.

What is worth knowing about roofs in Conway

A few local facts change how a roof job in Conway should go:

  • The city does not require a permit for a roof replacement, but the historic districts have their own rules. In the Robinson Historic District, the city will not issue a permit for exterior work without a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Historic District Commission, though its brochure lists in-kind re-roofing as minor work that city staff may approve. The district's design guidelines say roof shape and pitch shall be preserved. In the Old Conway Design Overlay District, a 2020 commission staff report quotes a guideline that metal roofing is prohibited unless the house historically had it. At its June 26, 2023 meeting the commission approved reroofing projects with conditions on materials, including 3-tab or architectural shingles on a Robinson district house. If your home is in either area, ask every roofer whether they have been through that process.
  • Most roofs sit on newer homes, and many on rentals. Conway grew from 10,139 housing units in 1990 to 27,503 in 2020 (Metroplan's table of census counts), and half of the city's homes were built in 1998 or earlier (Census ACS 2020 to 2024). Many roofs from that building boom are now at the age where they need replacing: in Arkansas we plan on 15 to 20 years for an asphalt shingle roof, because manufacturer ratings assume milder weather than ours. Only 45.4 percent of Conway homes are owner-occupied, so if you are a landlord, ask each roofer how they schedule work and send photos when you cannot be there.
  • Wind and hail are the usual tests here. The National Weather Service in Little Rock recorded straight-line winds of 75 to 80 mph just north of Conway on October 21, 2019, quarter-size hail off Nutter Chapel Road and south of Dave Ward Drive on April 11, 2022, and a 62 mph gust at Conway Regional Airport on February 16, 2023. On July 6, 2018, thunderstorm winds blew shingles off a roof on the west side of town. Ask each roofer how they nail and seal the eaves, rakes and ridge, and what the shingle's wind and impact ratings require.

For more on the area, see our Conway service area page. If you are also weighing roofers closer to Little Rock, our Maumelle and Little Rock comparisons use the same format, and our guide to choosing a roofing contractor in Central Arkansas covers the rest of the decision.

Questions to ask every roofer before you sign

These are the questions we would want answered in writing if we were hiring a roofer for our own homes. Ask each company on your list, including us, and compare the answers side by side. Our own answers are in italics, taken straight from our published guarantees and prices.

  1. Is the company registered with the state? In Arkansas a residential roofer holds a Residential Roofing Registration from the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board. Look the company up on the board's "Find A Licensed Contractor" page at labor.arkansas.gov, and read our guide on verifying a roofer's license and insurance. Ours is Residential Roofing Registration RR0503170227.
  2. Does the roofer guarantee the roof will not leak, or only "workmanship"? A workmanship warranty rarely says what counts as workmanship. Everyone knows when a roof leaks. Ours is the Patriot Leak Free Guarantee: 15 years on Armor, 10 on Guardian, 5 on Defender and 2 on Shield, and the 365-Day Patriot Leak Free Guarantee once all recommended repairs are done.
  3. What happens if you are not satisfied? Our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee on a roof replacement: if you are not 100% satisfied with your roofing system, we will remove it and return 100% of your investment.
  4. Is it in writing that the materials quoted are the materials installed? Our Apples-to-Apples Guarantee: if you later find a truly comparable roof system for less, we pay you the difference plus a $50 bonus.
  5. Is there a third-party guarantee, from someone other than the roofer? Every Patriot Roofing and Restoration job carries the $30,000 Directorii Guarantee, and we register every job with Directorii so you do not have to. The $250,000 Directorii Guarantee is included with our Guardian and Armor packages.
  6. Will you get a written inspection report with photos? A free storm or replacement inspection comes with our 21-Point Roof Inspection Report with photos.
  7. How many photos of the job will you get, and how? A few pictures in a PDF is very different from every photo. On a full replacement we take 250 to 1,000 photos, and you get a link to every one of them to view, download and keep.
  8. Is there a yearly checkup with photos you can reach later? In a city that has seen quarter-size hail and straight-line winds of 75 to 80 mph in recent years, a dated photo record from year to year can help when an insurer asks how old a piece of damage is, although no roofer can promise how a claim turns out. Our Patriot Care Club is $14.95 a month and includes an annual 21-Point Roof Checkup and Attic Analysis with photos.
  9. Are repair prices published? Ours are on our roof repair prices page. A repair visit is $79.99 for non-members and has no service fee for Care Club members.

Frequently asked questions

Is this list ranked?

No. Companies are listed A to Z, and we did not put ourselves first or call anyone the best. We wrote this post and are one of the companies in it.

Where do the ratings come from?

From Google Maps business data, read through Local Falcon in a scan dated Oct 29, 2026. Ratings move every week, so check the live Google profile before you decide.

Do I need a permit for a new roof in Conway?

No. Conway does not require a city permit for a roof replacement. Homes in the Robinson Historic District need a Certificate of Appropriateness for exterior work, though in-kind re-roofing can often be approved by city staff, so ask your roofer who handles it.

How do I check that a roofer is registered in Arkansas?

Search the company on the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board's "Find A Licensed Contractor" page at labor.arkansas.gov. A residential roofer should hold a Residential Roofing Registration.

How often is this page updated?

We re-check every fact on it at least every 90 days. If your company serves Conway and a fact here is out of date, contact us and we will correct it.

Want our written answers for your home?

Get two or three bids and ask every roofer the same questions. If you would like ours in writing, contact us to book a free storm or replacement inspection, or a $79.99 repair visit if you have a leak.
