Three of our four roof packages are asphalt shingle, and every one of them uses Atlas shingles. Patriot is an Atlas PRO+ contractor at the Gold level. We install complete Atlas Signature Select roofing systems. That is what qualifies your roof for Atlas's extended system warranty, which covers non-prorated materials and labor, tear-off and disposal.
We chose Atlas for two reasons that matter in Arkansas. 3M Scotchgard Protector is factory applied to the Atlas lines we install, which fights the black algae streaks common on humid Arkansas roofs. And the Signature Select system warranty is stronger than the shingle-only warranty a homeowner gets when the full Atlas system is not installed.

What a shingle roof costs
Most shingle replacements in Central Arkansas fall between $15,000 and $30,000, with simple single-story roofs from about $9,000. Shingle class, roof size and pitch move the price. Your written price comes after a replacement inspection. Repair visits carry a $79.99 diagnostic fee, which includes our 21-point roof inspection, or no fee for Patriot Care Club members.

Common questions
Do you install 3-tab shingles?
We replace old 3-tab roofs with architectural or impact-rated shingles, which stand up better to Arkansas wind and hail. We also repair existing 3-tab roofs.
Which Atlas shingle lines do you install?
We install Atlas shingles, including StormMaster Shake, Pinnacle Impact, Pinnacle Sun, Pinnacle Pristine and ProLam. Pinnacle Impact carries a Class 4 impact rating; Pinnacle Pristine and Pinnacle Sun are Class 3. 3M Scotchgard Protector is factory applied to the Atlas lines we install to fight black algae streaks. Each carries a Lifetime Limited Warranty for single-family homes, and a full Atlas Signature Select system registered within 60 days qualifies for the extended system warranty.
Can you install a shingle brand other than Atlas?
Yes. Atlas is the main shingle we install and the one we recommend, but we install just about any shingle brand on the market. If you need a specific brand, for example to meet your HOA's rules, to match another part of the roof, or because you prefer it, we will install that brand. The extended Atlas Signature Select system warranty applies to Atlas systems; other brands carry their own manufacturer warranty.
What does Class 4 mean?
Class 4 is the highest impact rating a shingle can earn under UL 2218. It may qualify you for a homeowners insurance discount; discounts vary by insurer, so confirm with your agent.
What are the black streaks on my roof?
Usually algae, which is common on older roofs in a humid state like Arkansas. Atlas Pinnacle and StormMaster Shake shingles have 3M Scotchgard Protector applied at the factory to resist those streaks.
What does an asphalt shingle roof cost?
It depends mostly on the size of the roof, its square footage measured in squares of 100 square feet, the roof pitch, how many layers come off and the package you choose. Our roof prices page shows our published ranges.
What does a shingle roof cost per square foot?
Roofers price by the square, which is 100 square feet of roof. Divide a price per square by 100 to get the average cost per square foot. Your total depends on size, pitch and the package you choose. See the ranges on our roof prices page.
Do I need a permit for a new shingle roof?
Building codes and permit rules vary by town. In our service area, Hot Springs, Hot Springs Village, Maumelle, Cabot, Searcy, White Hall and Haskell require a roofing permit for a replacement, and we pull it for you. The other towns we serve do not.
How do I know if my shingle roof is damaged?
Look for missing or creased shingles, bald spots where the granules have worn off, and water stains inside. A roof that is damaged can let water in long before you see a drip.
How long does a shingle roof replacement take?
Most shingle roof replacements take 1 to 2 days in total.
Can a few missing shingles cause water damage?
Yes. A missing shingle leaves the underlayment exposed, and over time water can reach the roof deck, insulation and ceilings. Have a roofing professional replace missing shingles soon after a storm. Our roof repair cost page lists the price.
