CertainTeed Landmark Colors: All 21 Shingle Colors
CertainTeed lists 21 colors for its Landmark shingle: Black Walnut, Burnt Sienna, Charcoal Black, Cinder Black, Cobblestone Gray, Colonial Slate, Driftwood, Georgetown Gray, Granite Gray, Heather Blend, Moire Black, Mojave Tan, Painted Desert, Pewter, Pewterwood, Resawn Shake, Silver Birch, Sunrise Cedar, Terra Cotta, Thunderstorm Gray and Weathered Wood. That was the full list on CertainTeed's Landmark product page when we checked it on October 31, 2026. Which of those you can actually get on your roof depends on your region and what local suppliers stock, so treat the list as a starting point and confirm your color before you settle on it. Below are the colors grouped so they are easier to compare, what CertainTeed says about Landmark itself, and how to pick a color for an Arkansas home.
We are Patriot Roofing and Restoration in Maumelle. Atlas is our primary shingle line, but we install CertainTeed and just about any other brand on request, for example to match an HOA rule, an existing roof section or a brand you already like. Every CertainTeed fact in this post comes from CertainTeed's own Landmark product page at certainteed.com, checked October 31 and November 6, 2026.
All 21 CertainTeed Landmark colors, grouped by family
CertainTeed lists the colors alphabetically. We sorted them into rough families so you can narrow the field faster. The grouping is ours, not CertainTeed's, and several colors are blends that could sit in more than one group.
- Blacks and near blacks: Moire Black, Charcoal Black, Cinder Black, Black Walnut
- Grays: Georgetown Gray, Granite Gray, Cobblestone Gray, Thunderstorm Gray, Pewter, Colonial Slate, Silver Birch
- Gray and brown blends: Weathered Wood, Pewterwood, Driftwood
- Browns and tans: Mojave Tan, Resawn Shake, Burnt Sienna, Sunrise Cedar
- Reds and warm blends: Terra Cotta, Painted Desert, Heather Blend
Color names only go so far. Two grays with similar names can look very different once a whole roof of them is sitting over red brick in afternoon sun. Before you decide, look at full-size shingles outdoors, and if you can, at a finished roof in that color.
What CertainTeed says about Landmark shingles
Landmark is CertainTeed's dual-layer architectural shingle. Here is what its product page states:
- Impact rating: UL 2218 Class 3 impact resistance.
- Fire rating: independently certified with a UL Class A fire resistance rating.
- Wind: a 15-year, 110 mph wind-resistance warranty, with an upgrade to 160 mph available. CertainTeed says its starter and hip and ridge products are required for that.
- Algae: StreakFighter algae resistance, backed by a 25-year warranty.
- Warranty: a lifetime limited transferable warranty, with 10-year SureStart protection.
As with any manufacturer, the warranty document sets the real terms, including what counts as a covered defect, how transfers work and what the wind upgrade requires. Ask for the warranty itself, not a summary, before you sign.
What those specs mean for a Central Arkansas roof
Two things matter more here than in many parts of the country: hail and humidity.
Hail. Class 3 is one step below Class 4, the highest rating under UL 2218. A Class 4 shingle may qualify you for a homeowners insurance discount, depending on your insurer, so call your agent before you choose if that matters to you. Our impact-resistant shingle guide explains what the classes test.
Humidity. The black streaks you see on older roofs around Little Rock are algae, and it thrives in long, humid summers. Whatever shingle you choose, read the algae coverage in its warranty and note how many years it runs.
How Landmark compares with the Atlas lines we lead with
We recommend Atlas for two specific reasons. First, Atlas factory-applies 3M Scotchgard Protector to the lines we install, which fights the algae streaking that humid Arkansas summers cause. Second, because we are an Atlas PRO+ contractor at the Gold level installing full Atlas Signature Select systems, an Atlas roof we register can carry Atlas's extended system warranty covering materials and labor together. If you want a Class 4 shingle, Atlas Pinnacle Impact and StormMaster Shake are Class 4, and Pinnacle Impact is the shingle in our Guardian package. Atlas Pinnacle Pristine is Class 3, the same impact class CertainTeed lists for Landmark.
If you want CertainTeed Landmark, we will install it. We do not hold a CertainTeed certification or preferred status, so a CertainTeed roof from us carries CertainTeed's standard shingle warranty plus our own written guarantees, not a CertainTeed enhanced system warranty. On a roof replacement that includes the Patriot Leak Free Guarantee for your package term, for example the 10-year Patriot Leak Free Guarantee on Guardian. How to choose a Landmark color for your house
- Start with what stays. Brick, stone, siding and trim are not changing. Hold real shingles against them outside in both morning and late afternoon light.
- Match the undertone. Warm orange or red brick usually sits better under warm colors such as Burnt Sienna, Resawn Shake or Weathered Wood. Cool gray stone and white or gray siding often pair well with the grays, such as Georgetown Gray or Pewter, or a black like Moire Black.
- Think about heat. Darker roofs absorb more heat. On long south or west slopes in an Arkansas summer, good attic ventilation matters even more.
- Check your HOA first. Many neighborhoods approve roof colors. Get the approval in writing before anything is ordered.
- Plan for future repairs. A color your area stocks widely is easier to match if a few shingles ever need to be replaced after a storm.
- Look at whole roofs. If a roof in your neighborhood catches your eye, ask the owner what shingle and color it is.
