Atlas Shingle Colors: Every Pinnacle, StormMaster and ProLam Color

Aerial view of a new gray shingle roof on a brick home in Maumelle, with an American flag by the front window

The five Atlas shingle lines we install come in more than 30 named colors, and which colors you can pick depends on the line: Pinnacle Impact has 6 colors, Pinnacle Pristine has 13, Pinnacle Sun has 7 "cool" colors, StormMaster Shake has 10 and ProLam has 6. Below is every color Atlas lists as available nationwide for each line, what sets the lines apart, and how to choose a color you will still like in 20 years.

We are Patriot Roofing and Restoration in Maumelle, and Atlas is our primary shingle line. We checked every color below on Atlas's own product pages on October 31, 2026. Atlas notes that some colors are regional, so ask us to confirm a color is in stock before you settle on it.

Atlas Pinnacle Impact colors (Class 4)

Atlas says Pinnacle Impact meets a Class 4 impact rating, the highest available for asphalt shingles, with a wind warranty of up to 160 mph, 3M Scotchgard Protector against algae streaks and 3M Smog-Reducing Granules. The "IR" after each name stands for impact resistant.

  • Black Shadow IR
  • Hearthstone IR
  • Morning Harvest IR
  • Pewter IR
  • Rustic Highland IR
  • Weathered Wood IR

This is the shingle line in our Guardian package, built for Central Arkansas hail. Class 4 shingles may qualify you for a homeowners insurance discount; discounts vary by insurer, so ask your agent. More in our impact-resistant shingle guide.

Atlas Pinnacle Pristine colors (Class 3)

Pinnacle Pristine has the widest palette. Atlas lists Class 3 impact resistance, a wind warranty of up to 160 mph and 3M Scotchgard Protector.

  • Black Shadow
  • Coastal Granite
  • Hearthstone
  • Majestic Shake
  • Morning Harvest
  • Oyster Shell
  • Pewter
  • Summer Storm
  • Sunset
  • Tan Mist
  • Weathered Shadow
  • Weathered Wood
  • Woodland Green

Atlas Pinnacle Sun colors (cool roof, Class 3)

Pinnacle Sun uses 3M Cooling Granules that Atlas says reflect the sun's heat back to the sky. Atlas publishes a Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) for each color; a higher number reflects more heat.

  • Cool Oyster 2.0 (SRI up to 25)
  • Cool Driftwood 2.0 (SRI up to 20)
  • Cool Surf 2.0 (SRI up to 20)
  • Cool Sand 2.0 (SRI up to 21)
  • Cool Moonlight Beach 2.0 (SRI up to 21)
  • Cool Coral Canyon 2.0 (SRI up to 19)
  • Cool Coastal Cliffs 2.0 (SRI up to 19)

In an Arkansas summer, a cooler roof means less heat soaking into the attic. Good attic ventilation matters even more; see attic ventilation.

Atlas StormMaster Shake colors (Class 4)

StormMaster Shake is Atlas's thicker, shake-look shingle. Atlas lists a Class 4 impact rating, a wind warranty of up to 160 mph, its Core4 asphalt core and 3M Scotchgard Protector.

  • Aspen Grove
  • Black Shadow
  • Chestnut
  • Copper Canyon
  • Grand Teton
  • Midnight Lake
  • Moonlight Beach (SRI up to 21)
  • Morning Harvest
  • Pewter
  • Weathered Wood

Atlas ProLam colors

ProLam is Atlas's value architectural shingle. Atlas lists wind resistance up to 130 mph and built-in algae resistance. It is not impact rated.

  • Black Shadow
  • Desert Shake
  • Hearthstone
  • Pewter
  • Weathered Shadow
  • Weathered Wood

How to choose an Atlas color

  • Start with what will not change. Brick, stone and siding stay. Pick a roof that works with them. Warm brick and tan stone usually pair with browns and blends like Weathered Wood or Morning Harvest; gray, white or blue siding usually pairs with grays and blacks like Pewter or Black Shadow.
  • Look at full-size shingles, outside. Atlas warns that photos and sample boards are a guideline only and final color choices should be made with full-size shingles. Look at them in morning and afternoon light.
  • Drive by a real roof. A whole roof looks darker or lighter than one shingle. If you see a color you like in your neighborhood, ask the owner what it is.
  • Think about heat. Atlas says lighter colors are generally more reflective than darker ones. On a south- or west-facing roof in Arkansas, that is worth weighing.
  • Check your HOA. Many neighborhoods approve roof colors. Get the approval before you order.

Frequently asked questions

What is the most popular Atlas shingle color?

Atlas does not publish sales by color. The colors offered across almost every line are Black Shadow, Pewter and Weathered Wood, which tells you they suit a lot of homes.

Can I get any Atlas color in Arkansas?

Atlas marks the colors above as available nationwide, but it also says to check with your distributor for specific color and product availability. Ask us to check stock for your color.

Does color change the warranty?

No. The Atlas warranty depends on the shingle line and on installing and registering the full Atlas system, not on the color. See asphalt shingle roofing for how our packages are built.

Do I pay for a roof replacement estimate?

No. Full replacement estimates are free and come with our 21-point report and photos. Ask about colors while we are there.
