Roofing Companies in North Little Rock, AR: How to Compare Them
If you are looking for roofing companies in North Little Rock, AR, you have plenty of local choices: P.I. Roofing and Construction, Hargrove Roofing, Little Rock Roofing and Pitch Perfect Roofing all list North Little Rock offices on their Google profiles, and more roofers work here from Maumelle and Bryant. The fair way to compare them is on facts you can check yourself: each company's Google rating and review count, its Arkansas registration on the state lookup, what it says it does on its own website, and the written answers it gives to the hiring questions further down this page.
A plain disclosure before anything else: this post is written by Patriot Roofing and Restoration, a roofing company based in Maumelle, about 10 miles from North Little Rock, and we are one of the companies in the table. We have not ranked anyone, including ourselves. The table is in alphabetical order, it uses only published facts with the date we read them, and it says nothing about any company that the company or its Google profile does not say itself. Use it as a starting list, then check each roofer on your own.

A founding year is shown only where the company publishes one on the pages we read. A missing year says nothing about how long a company has been working; ask them.
Two things are deliberately missing. We have not listed Arkansas registration numbers for other companies, because you should look those up yourself on the state's own site rather than take a competitor's word for them (how to do that is in the checklist below). And we left out several companies with North Little Rock offices whose services we could not confirm from their own websites before this was published; a company missing from this table is not a judgment about it.
What is worth knowing about roofs in North Little Rock
A few local facts change how a roof job in North Little Rock should go:
- The city does not require a permit for a roof replacement, but Argenta is different. North Little Rock does not require a city permit to replace a roof. Inside the Argenta Historic District, though, the city says exterior changes, including any kind of exterior construction, must be approved through the North Little Rock Historic District Commission at 506 Main Street, and owners need a Certificate of Appropriateness before changing a structure's exterior. Re-roofing can be approved: at its May 14, 2020 meeting the commission approved, 6 to 0, an application that included re-roofing a house in composition shingles. If your home is in Argenta, ask every roofer whether they have been through that process and who files the application. Park Hill's historic designation, by contrast, is honorary and does not carry architectural change rules, according to the Encyclopedia of Arkansas.
- Many roofs sit on older homes. Half of North Little Rock's homes were built in 1975 or earlier (Census ACS 2020 to 2024), and about 76% before 2000. Older homes can hide soft decking, several old layers or worn flashing, so ask how each roofer prices rotted wood and whether the bid includes a full tear-off. In Arkansas we plan on 15 to 20 years for an asphalt shingle roof, because manufacturer ratings assume milder weather than ours.
- Wind and tornadoes are a real test here. The EF3 tornado of March 31, 2023 crossed North Little Rock, including Burns Park, Amboy and Indian Hills, and some homes on Flintrock Road near Osage Drive lost their entire roofs, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock. On April 5, 2025, straight-line winds near 80 mph swept parts of North Little Rock and Sherwood, and the North Little Rock Airport recorded a 67 mph gust. Ask each roofer how they nail and seal the eaves, rakes and ridge, and what the shingle's wind coverage requires. If your roof was patched in a hurry after 2023, an inspection will tell you whether the patch is holding.

Questions to ask every roofer before you sign
These are the questions we would want answered in writing if we were hiring a roofer for our own homes. Ask each company on your list, including us, and compare the answers side by side. Our own answers are in italics, taken straight from our published guarantees and prices.
- Is the company registered with the state? In Arkansas a residential roofer holds a Residential Roofing Registration from the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board. Look the company up on the board's "Find A Licensed Contractor" page at labor.arkansas.gov, and read our guide on verifying a roofer's license and insurance. Ours is Residential Roofing Registration RR0503170227.
- Does the roofer guarantee the roof will not leak, or only "workmanship"? A workmanship warranty rarely says what counts as workmanship. Everyone knows when a roof leaks. Ours is the Patriot Leak Free Guarantee: 15 years on Armor, 10 on Guardian, 5 on Defender and 2 on Shield, and the 365-Day Patriot Leak Free Guarantee once all recommended repairs are done.
- What happens if you are not satisfied? Our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee on a roof replacement: if you are not 100% satisfied with your roofing system, we will remove it and return 100% of your investment.
- Is it in writing that the materials quoted are the materials installed? Our Apples-to-Apples Guarantee: if you later find a truly comparable roof system for less, we pay you the difference plus a $50 bonus.
- Is there a third-party guarantee, from someone other than the roofer? Every Patriot Roofing and Restoration job carries the $30,000 Directorii Guarantee, and we register every job with Directorii so you do not have to. The $250,000 Directorii Guarantee is included with our Guardian and Armor packages.
- Will you get a written inspection report with photos? A free storm or replacement inspection comes with our 21-Point Roof Inspection Report with photos.
- How many photos of the job will you get, and how? A few pictures in a PDF is very different from every photo. On a full replacement we take 250 to 1,000 photos, and you get a link to every one of them to view, download and keep.
- Is there a yearly checkup with photos you can reach later? In a town that has seen tornadoes and 80 mph winds in the last few years, a dated photo record from year to year can help when an insurer asks how old a piece of damage is, although no roofer can promise how a claim turns out. Our Patriot Care Club is $14.95 a month and includes an annual 21-Point Roof Checkup and Attic Analysis with photos.
- Are repair prices published? Ours are on our roof repair prices page. A repair visit is $79.99 for non-members and has no service fee for Care Club members.
