Best Places to Eat in Maumelle, AR: 12 Local Favorites
These are the 12 places I actually eat at in Maumelle, week in and week out. I am Adam Leavins. I founded Patriot Roofing and Restoration here in Maumelle, and I am also a pastor in town, so between job sites, meetings and Sunday mornings, I have eaten at all of these more times than I can count. This is not a paid list and nobody asked to be on it. It is not ranked either, because I go to every one of them for different reasons.
Breakfast and coffee
Coffee Corner
9823 Maumelle Blvd, North Little Rock, AR 72113
Coffee Corner sits right on the edge of Maumelle, but we all count it as Maumelle. It is my favorite place to sit down and talk with someone: catching up with a friend, a business meeting, a counseling or ministry conversation, even interviewing someone for a job. The coffee is fresh and it is not the same as everywhere else. They also have breakfast food, croissants and pastries, and the people there take care of you.
MorningSide Bagels
10848 Maumelle Blvd, North Little Rock, AR 72113
If you want a really good bagel, this is the place. It is a local breakfast joint with all kinds of bagels. If you do not see what you want on your bagel, ask. They probably have it, and they can probably build the bagel you are after. Grab a drink while you are there.
7 Days Donuts
1900 Club Manor Dr #111, Maumelle, AR 72113
Yes, they have great donuts. But my order every Sunday morning before church is a sausage and cheese kolache. It is part of my Sunday routine. They also have breakfast sandwiches, biscuits and gravy and good drinks. It is a grab-and-go spot, not a sit-down restaurant, and it is a morning place, so go early. The owners are close friends of mine, and they really care about every customer who walks in.
Chick-fil-A
113 Commons Dr, Maumelle, AR 72113
It is fast food, of course, but Maumelle's Chick-fil-A has a great staff that takes care of you, and it is a good breakfast stop. There is a play area for the kids. It is also quiet enough to open a laptop and get some work done while the kids play.
Lunch and dinner
Taqueria Amigos
115 Audubon Dr Ste 11, Maumelle, AR 72113
The best Mexican food in Maumelle. The cheese dip is amazing, and so are their chips, which are different from the chips you get most places. There are something like 8 to 10 different meats for tacos, from chicken and beef to brisket and barbacoa, and their Mexican sandwiches will fill you up. Great tea and soft drinks, and there is a bar if you want it, though I do not drink. The wait staff is kind and makes you feel welcome.
Jim's Razorback Pizza
20608 AR-365, Maumelle, AR 72113
The lunch special gets you a pizza, a side salad and a drink for less than a lot of places. You can get thick crust, thin crust or cauliflower crust, and their cauliflower crust is the best I have had anywhere in Central Arkansas. Order the cinnamon knots, and get the cheese sticks with extra cheese. That is how I order them. They have private rooms for birthday parties, and pretty much any Razorback game, football, basketball, baseball or softball, plus the NFL, is on multiple screens. Management really takes care of their customers.
Kosuke Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi
1900 Club Manor Dr Ste 108, Maumelle, AR 72113
One of the best sushi places around, made fresh right there, and the staff is always sweet. Taking a date? Try one of the sweeter rolls, like the Hawaiian roll or the Valentine roll, with things like fried shrimp, mango and strawberries. Honestly, all of their rolls are good. They also do full meals with your choice of meat, fried or steamed rice and vegetables. If you are like me and skip the onions and carrots, ask for just broccoli. They will take care of you.
Milano's Italian Grill
1800 Club Manor Dr, Maumelle, AR 72113
For Italian in Maumelle, this is the place. They opened right before COVID, and instead of pulling back, they upgraded the restaurant, and they have kept improving it since. They have a great lobster dish and plenty of other Italian dishes, and some of the best bread around: hot, buttery and made right there. Go three or four times and they start remembering your name and welcoming you in like family. It is a great place for a date, or for the whole family after church on Sunday.
Marty's Place
11501 Maumelle Blvd, Maumelle, AR 72113
Marty's has a little bit of everything, from burgers to meatloaf. Get the smash burger, and if you like sweet potato fries, theirs are made just right with a little honey. Their regular fries are good too. Whatever you drink, they have it. It is a little quieter, which makes it good for a family dinner or a date, and the wait staff is always on top of things.
Creekside at Palarm Station
6 Station Ln, Maumelle, AR 72113
One of the newer places in town, and a really nice one. It sits between formal and informal, so it works for a date or for the whole family. Many weekends there is a band. Go outside: there is a beautiful area out back, out in the country, where you can eat or just sit and enjoy the evening. For those who drink, there are plenty of options.
Cheers in Maumelle
1901 Club Manor Dr, Maumelle, AR 72113
Cheers covers a lot of ground, from brick oven pizza to burgers to steaks. It is a great place to take a group out together, like a team Christmas dinner or another holiday or event. Good food, any drink you want, and a fun time.
Overtime Lounge
115 Audubon Dr, Maumelle, AR 72113
Overtime has more of a bar atmosphere, with pool tables and a few other games, but it is not a loud place. You can get burgers, sliders, salads and more. The people are really nice, and the wait staff is quick. You will not be sitting there waiting for your sweet tea to get refilled.
Why a roofer is writing about restaurants
Maumelle is home for my family and for Patriot Roofing and Restoration. Our office is at 2001 Club Manor Dr, a short walk from several of these places, and supporting the businesses around us matters. If you live here and ever need a roof checked, see our Maumelle roofing page. Maumelle requires a permit for a roof replacement, and we handle it.
